No start 1996 7.3

Okay, I have a 7.3 96 with close to 300,000 miles. I was driving and it shut off. Now it won't start back up. It has a wait to start light, tach movement. I have used another 7.3 that runs to swap parts. I have tried the ipr, icp, cam sensor, new batteries, check oil level/pressure, checked for codes. It cranks all day but no start and it smokes a little.

Do you have fuel psi while cranking? Here's a no start chart that might help....PSD Crank No Start Troubleshooting Flowchart.pdf - Google Docs

I traded a 94.5 to a buddy of mine a few years ago and he had the same thing happen. Turned out to be the fuel tank selector valve. Maybe get under there and smack it a couple times and see if it does anything.

True. What is the fuel psi while cranking. And what CPS did you put in it?

That may not be enough. I think you need at least 20 psi, but I may be wrong on that.

I had one Quit a while back and it would just crank over, I found a fuse blown in fuse box under hood.

Already checked fuses. And the psi might of been a little higher.

I'm no advocate of ether, but if you are careful and it started then you would know you likely have a fuel issue.

Fuel pressure sounds way low. How's the fuel filter? Have you tried switching tanks?
