Hey guys! (and gals)

In many attempts of finding a new (larger) throttle body for my 1999 3.0, I continue to come across throttle bodies only for the 4.0's. With that said and my conclusion that there are no companies out there that make them for us 3.0 guys, I wonder do the throttle bodies of the 4.0 fit on the 3.0 ..and if so, is there a difference in size??

Any replies will help me sleep better at night... lolz

Thanks

Part of your problem I think is that for many years the throttle body was built right into the upper intake on the 3.0L.

The TB on your '99 is a separate unit, right?

I've read some bits and pieces about TBs from 3.8Ls of the late '90s fitting on some of the later vulcans that have the separate TBs, but I don't recall it being a clean swap even in those cases.

Also, I don't believe the 4.0L TB is a worthy candidate for a swap, at least from what I read.

yeah, thats one thing I've been told on another forum site that the TB is built into the intake manifold, so I looked myself and it just bolts on there
