axle question

So my question is pretty simple. Do 2wd and 4wd axles mount the same on these trucks or are they different?

Are you asking if the front and rear axle mount the same? The front is on coil springs, the rear is leaf.

What, I found out with a 70 2wd rear 60 dana axle look the same, but found that the welded on shock mount was welded on in a different place on a 70 2wd by about 2.5-3 inches versus the my 71 dana 60 4wd axle. I was still able to hook up the shock tho! The E-brake cables are also different lengths. I made the switch and thats what I found to be different that, I noticed. It was a 70 2wd Explore f250 that had some type of limit slip carrier in the rear is why I switched plus the bearing race area was in better shape than mine. my 2 cents orich
