I got a 2011 f-150 ecoboost and when I travel any long distance I get a bad vibration when turning from the rear of the truck. It does not happen when it is just a short trip. Does anybody know what this could be?
Hello and welcome to FTE. Sorry to hear about the issue. Does your truck have a Limited Slip differential? If so, you may be having an issue with the clutch packs in the diff. Here is another thread on the similar issue: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...left-turn.html
If your truck is still under warranty this should be covered
If it's still under warranty, take it to the dealer, explain what it is doing, and they will probably add some friction modifier to the rearend. That should take care of it.

depends how worn the clutch packs are otherwise friction modifier doesn't help

Hi skipper159,
I wanted to reach out to you and see how things are going with your truck. If you haven't already, I recommend making an appointment at your dealership so they can check things out. Touch base with me when you get a diagnosis and, if needed, I'll jump in and assist.
They had to replace the clutch pads. They told me this is not the first truck they had to do it to. Then a couple of days before I brought the truck in the check engine light came on. When they checked it was the timing chain that had to be replaced. The truck only has 70,000 km on it. They had the truck for 8 days but seems to be working fine now. Is this a common problem with these trucks too.

So they replaced the rear end clutch packs????? This is what I think is my problem.

I'm pretty sure you have the electric locking differential. If so you don't have clutch packs. Only trucks with the limited slip differential have clutch packs.
had the vibration on my 2011 during left turns. Truck bought new & never abused. Replaced clutch pack under warranty & corrected problem.
Not sure I understand why they needed changing at only 30,000 miles. So are the originals defective or improperly installed at factory or what???
