i just put my97 f250 5.8 e4od together after converting into 2wd the truck ran fine around the block..but when i went to the bigger road to get more speed i t would shift into 2nd and stay .. i dint go more than a mile when i starter hearing a noise sound like grinding and my reverse wants to go out..the fluid is at good level takes off good and burns out good....
would it be better to replace it? and what kind of transmission is it since its a 97 E4Od or 4R100?
i didnt really rebuild it just took it apart to change the output shaft and took pics to remember where every thing was at..
and my bother was the one who bought the gaskets he just took the valve body plates
to get new gaskets .. i think they had a light blue or white line across them would that matter??
