I've been meaning to ask this for a while but kept forgetting. When taking off rather roughly (Either by my poor clutch work or maybe trying to burn a little rubber) the shifter (and I assume whole tranny) moves to the right a good six inches while I let out the clutch. Then it kinda bounces around right and left. Is this normal? Or am I missing some bolt somewhere.

I've looked but nothing seems abnormal. I can't see it happen because I don't really want to be under there when taking off. I'll get up there with a flashlight and a camera and see what I can show you.
Its a surprising amount. Its also weird because its not totally unmanageable, like if I hold onto the shifter it moves a lot less than if I'm not holding onto it. I'll try and get a video so you all can see.
I think it is just the operator.... if a mount was broke, not only would the engine/transmission assembly move, there would also be a noticeable "thump" with it. when 900lbs of engine and transmission is not secure on the mounts, they tend to lift under load. when that load is released, the engine and transmission falls back into place. Trust me when I say it is noticeable........... even if you can't hear it, you will feel it....
I would agree with the motor mount being broken, one maybe both, if the engine/ trans moves too much, your clutch linkage will fall off. I found out the hard way, I once had to tie my engine down with ratchet straps to get unstuck, and out of the woods.
l would like to see the video. It would be nice if you can mount the camera underneath when all this is taking place.
Now you were just under your truck greasing it, and you didn't notice anything? Do you have bolts holding your transmission to the cross member?
common motor mount/transmission mount broken . if you have no idea how old they are just order all three and do it . if you replace just one and another is cracked it will break the new one .
Your left motor mount is broken. I have had this happen a few times, what's really fun is when a previous owner rigged the throttle linkage and when the engine lifts it pins the throttle wide open. That little trick cost me a healthy 390 in my 72-
