been playing with my hood springs a little that the weather has warmed up to 40 ,, i really think i need springs ,, my dilemma is do i buy a set of springs for 140 or do i risk buying the front hood tilt for welder joes for 130 , and not working ,, ,i think what he has done is copied one form somewhere ,,, anyway you shouldnt be able to go to the back of hood and pull up on the hood ,, ,, time to do some more searching
i did look at it ,, ,, i just dont see how pulling the hood forward will keep the rear of hood from pulling up ,, i might try it before i do anything ,, the drivers side dont do it ,, just the passenger side ,, but i might try it anyway , i think it was about a 1/8 to 1/4 in ,,
If you don't understand, I guess I need to be blunt: I've told you several times what it needs, you evidently don't want to look up the info on fixing the hinges, or don't want to do what it says. I'm not going to come there and do it for you! If you don"t think we (or me) know how to fix it, and you know what it needs, why do you keep asking us? If you think it's easier to throw money at the problem, go right ahead, but my last piece of advice is don't buy springs, it won't fix it. Buy a set of the billet hinges or the reverse opening kit of your choice, but they will likely need adjusting as well, and you'll soon find out how difficult it is to work on the engine with a reverse hinged hood. I give up.
i have moved the latch forward as far as it will go ,, its to the point that when releasing it, it hangs just a very little ,, i was only able to move it about 1/16 ,, but still the same thing i must have bad heinges or there not freed up enough,
