01 f250 cc sb 4x4 7.3. At around 40mph at half throttle I get a shuttering in the gas pedal. Did some Internet shearching and i came to this conclusion.
im having convertor problems but i dont feel a shutter, my convertor just wont engage sometimes and if im over 2500 rpms it slips constantly but ive never felt a shutter in the pedal
I was told to accelerate until I feel the shutter, which is at 40 mph, and set cruise control for 37 mph and accelerate using cruise control and if it doesn't shutter than its not the throttle positioning sensor. Well I tried it and it still shuttered but I'm not experiencing any slipping so I'm still convinced it is the throttle positioning sensor
How many miles on you truck? Are you aware of the common problem with the '01 transmission and the "diode clutch"? May be your issue if it has not been rebuilt already.
The symptom of a failed mechanical diode one way clutch is no 1-2 shift, or the shift will only happen at very high RPM after you lift off the accelerator pedal.
I seem to have recently had a shutter start at cruising speed any time you are cruising at a steady speed. If you let off the gas it is smooth as silk but anytime you are cruising at a steady speed it has a kinda shutter to it. Cruise or no cruise
