could this happen
Could a voltage regulator be bad and the alternator still be good if the voltage regulator is in the alternator. Those of you who don't know what truck I'm refering to, it's my 95 F-150 302 auto. I had my alternator tested and it came out good, but I can't remember if the voltage regulator was good or if it was even tested. Does this make any sense?

Yes that's possible, the benchtop testers at autoparts stores are notoriously unreliable when it comes to testing the internal regulator and rectifier in these alternators, I have seen this myself with my truck when it had a charging problem. Bottom line is you should measure 12.5v across the battery when the engine is off and at least 13.5v when the engine is running, if you don't get that then the internal regulator is bad.
