I have a 1970 f100 and my lights on the instrument panel won't come on. I have it out and looking at the bulbs and they look alright. I checked the fuse and it's ok also so what can it be? I can't even find a pic on the net or YouTube that shows the back of one like I have to see what all plug's into the panel. Please help!!

We have no background on ya so do you know that the instrument lights are dimmed by the headlight switch???

How do you know that the bulbs are good? Did you check them with an ohmmeter/diode checker/continuity checker/multimeter? Are you getting voltage to the sockets?

check to see if you have 12v at bulbs with headlight switch on first .

On these old trucks, the first thing to go concerning instrument lights is the rheostat on the light switch. It burns out and the lights won't work. You will have to pull the light switch to check.
