Firewall Access Point

Hi All,
Slowly moving ahead in this project. Just looked under the hood ("00 Limited 4x4, 7.3) for an access point thru the firewall to pull the switch wires thru and didn't readily find any. Is there am access point already? Or, do I, and it hurts me to even think this . . .drill . . .
Thanks again for all your advice.
Angelo

I really don't know about the 7.3 but on my 6.0 there is one right on the drivers side. Look under your dash and follow the wire bundles, it should be pretty obvious.

Good luck.

DUH.... Thanks Texas Beach Bum!!!! Funny thing is I saw that big wire bundle too but did not think more about it. I really should wake up before posting questions (hahahaha).

I found and used the 2 inch hole in the firewall above and left of the brake pedal way up under the dash. It is the mounting hole for a clutch pedal. The factory just has a very durable tape covering the hole. You can see the hole from the engine compartment easily. Just look for the tape.

There are two smaller holes next to it for bolts to go through that you could use too, if you only have a couple of wires. Use a grommet and sealant.

I made an adaptor plate and installed a 32 pin bulkhead connector there. Sealed watertight.
