Been having a lot of stuff fixed on 87 F150 4X4 but my mechanic cannot seem to get the correct float for my gas tank to fix the gas gauge.
The truck is factory carbd and uses a different float than the EFI trucks.
What is worse is the Ford people keep telling him there were not trucks with carbs that year alas no float.
Do any of you Ford gurus have any idea how to possibly find one or even get a part # ??

Wait,
Are you saying Ford used a different fuel tank float for different model engines?
That seems ridiculous considering the fuel tanks and pumps are the same as far as I know.
It sounds like the Ford guys are confusing your fuel tank float with a carburetor float.... Sorry this thread is confusing.
