4 questions

86/150 300/6 4x4 44 front/8.8 rear
1 i have mis matched nuts on my wheels. Wondering thread size/count to grab new ones.

2 truck started taking longer to restart when pointed uphill when warm. Strong fuel smell. Very boggy for a couple seconds after catching. Assume its flooding. Not pressing pedal. Rebuild time??

3 cold start* after patting gas to set choke, running 5~7 sec it begins bogging down more than before. Blipping pedal kicks off choke and truck runs/idles fine. Just recently started doing this. Thinking it may be included in question 2.

4 brake pedal recently getting softer. Going down near floor before good braking. No leaks. New front pads 10/12 for inspection. Havent pulled wheels to look at pads yet. Thinking pads are almost gone but less than 5k on brakes since pad change. Have some rotor shake from needing turned. Any idea as to the sudden drop in pedal height at engagement?

1. I plugged in your truck at Autozone's site and looked up "Lug nut". They say it's 1/2-20.

2. If the carb has never been rebuilt, it's probably time for it, money well spent.

3. You are correct. If you want to try something to see if it helps, take the aircleaner off, and spray wd40 on all the linkage and stuff on the pass side of the carb and see if that helps it.

4. Low pedal is usually a sign of a rear brake problem. Pull the e-brake and see if the pedal comes up. Also check the fluid level in the master cylinder. If the front reservoir is dry, you have a leak to the rear brakes.

Not specific to Ford Trucks but a long pedal can result from warped rotors knocking the pads back.

Good luck,
