69, I thought that too until I noticed two different temps for Tft and tranny temp. Tft never gets above 173 or so. Tranny temp hits 215. I was suprised to have both, and thought they were both the same until I saw the numbers. Maybe they're reading the same sensor and the equation in Torque for the tranny temp is wrong or something.
So what are thoughts on a 0W40 synthetic oil? And what about the use of hot shot secret? Still haven't got chance to buzz test or test fuel pressure. But am still gettin 22mpg driving through the mountains to work. I don't think I am doing any real damage as my batterys are good, ficm is good and it still starts every morning, just hard, and once warm works like a dream, but I'm sure I can find some 0W40 here to change it in parkin lot if anyone thinks it may help, currently 10W40
hey there im very new to this online forum stuff and i know that i am probably in the wrong area to post this but i have a similar problem with my 05 f250 6.0. I also have the hard starting but mine seems to be a little worse then most of the posts that i have read, if i dont plug my truck in (even in 80 degree weather!) it will not start. i have checked the ficm in all three spots koeo, koec, and koer and all are over 48 volts, just as preventive maintenace i did the resolder job, i also changed the stc fitting, it was smoking alot so i did the egr cooler delete, brand new batterys and new alternator, at first when all this started i would have to let the truck run like 30 mins and then the truck would run like a dream, now i still have to let the truck run 30 mins (even in hot weather) and now it still has misfire when warm. i run rotella 15/40 and i know ive read to change to rotella synthetic 5/40 but all my friends run the 15/40 with no issues what so ever. like i said before i am a newb and sorry if i am in the wrong area. any input will be greatly appreciated.

You will get more help if you start your own thread as people are expecting a conclusion to this thread so it may get overlooked.
I did blue spring upgrade, put in hot shot secret and mine seems to be a bit better, still will start hard, waiting on getting a buzz test done. Yours sounds like fuel pressure or injectors tho, smoke is bad, mine never smoked while starting hard. Put an edge evolution cts on it today, gonna take it back tho I think as I hate the tunes even compared to the diablo preditor I used to run.
Everybody has their own opinion about oil. I use Delo 15/40LE non synthetic and it seems to work well. There is another thread on here with a link to the ingredients on a few different oils and Delo seemed to top them all. I recommend changing oil between 3k and 5k intervals or a minimum of twice a year. I actually change mine every 3 months or 3k miles and it is working for me. It costs a little more but in my own opinion, its worth it.
