IPR voltage ?????'s

Got a few sypmtoms on a no start. Actually did get 97 psd to start a few times and then i think the ipr stuck again. I have a few of these so am going through them one at a time . Basically when cranking, the oil level in the hpop res isn't going down at all. I got the multi meter and checked the wires at the fuel bowl connector going to ipr. with KOEO the ywlloe wire has .28v and the red wire has 11.4 v. then at the IPR the red wire and black wire both show 11.6v , so am wondering what should it be reading on the ipr circuit (552), pin 83 on pcm. Batteries good, new fuel pump, new starter, bypassed clutch pedal switch for the zf5. Got the basics, just lacking on the fine tuning for the circuit as i believe the second IPR I swapped in might also be stuck. About to swap the 3rd ipr in that i rebuilt and only has 91k on it. his might be a bit lengthy, just want to be thorough for the exsperts, thankx!

IPR solenoid coil should measure between 5-15 ohms.

Red wire is battery to one side of the IPR and Y/R wire is the wire that goes from other side of IPR to PCM. Don't know what black wire you are referring to, is it really the Y/R that maybe is covered in oil or something? If so then you might have a bad connection or wire from fuel bowl connector to IPR ... Y/R wire.

got the schematics here and was looking at wires going to ipr, and perhaps that pigtail was replaced once. As you said it should be a red wire and yellow/ red as the wires are clean. Anyway as far as the ipc sensor is cocerned, we know the trick of unplugging it to start truck in somewhat of a limp mode. With that said, already tried that so i guess the significance would be the main wire from the pcm (yel/red) and the red is a shared circuit with the fuse # 8 underhood (idm) just got my 3rd ipr o ring kit today so gonna check pins going to the pcm as well in same circuit, Ron

just installed 3rd ipr and cranks , no start, beginning to think that the solenoid for the ipr might be bad. Have heard it is fairly reliable so gonna begin there and then onto the ipr circuit , and the idm circuit. the one thing I remember is that from extended cranking the hpop res should need some oil and it's still at the top so I know the ipr isn't opening tto allow oil flow

finally got this dialed in, the wire harness that goes under the fuel bowl was so saturated from diesel fuel that some of the wires shrunk up an the red wire and yellow / red wire to the ipr were crossing . this was causing the ipr not to function, so had to strip the wires back and rerun them as to have insulation in place for correct circuts, and it fired right up
