I have a 2013 FX4. I really like the way these trucks look with a leveling kit. I'm just beginning my research and I am looking for insight... What is the BEST way to go about leveling my truck? I've looked at rough country leveling spacers that go above the coil. Is this safe, and is there anything additional I may need to do or buy to provide optimal ride quality and prevention of needless wear and tear? I've heard mixed reviews on these leveling kits. Any thoughts/previous experience shared would be much appreciated.
Welcome aboard first and foremost. You will find there are alot that have done LK's here. Most, including myself, have used Auto Spring with zero issues but it's your choice. It will ride a little stiffer, mine does anyway with a 2" kit. Its a truck, and thats how mine is treated. Most will say not to go over 2.5" as it is very hard on ball joints. I went 2" and 6 months later bought the rear 3" block, which raises the rear 1.5". It looked to me like it sat too nose-high. I think it sits perfect now. Don't forget the alignment after LK
EDIT:
The "search" feature is your friend. There are probably several days worth of threads on leveling kits here
On a 2013 f150 hd,I was told to put on the rancho complete struts on which did dick(NOT A 1/8 INCH DIFF).Then was told that pro-comp would allow 35",so I installed the procomps and the 35" WILL NOT fit,so I am stuck trying to put 33s on hoping they will fit.Point being;there is a lot of BS out there,so I woud suggest to actually see the products installed to prevent grief!!!
Under my handle click on the blue 2010F150. It will take you to my pictures. The one in my buddies driveway in the winter, no leaves on the trees, is the one with the blocks front and rear. I also have air lift rear bags for hauling firewood but there's only maybe 10 psi in the pic

Check the part # on your Ranchos. Ending in "9" is for 2wd. Ending in "10" is for 4wd. The 2wd Rancho strut assembly is the same height as the stock 4wd Ford OEM assembly. Just checking to make sure you didn't get the 2wd application instead as this would net in no increase in height.
I to just purchased a 2013 F150 and was looking to put some sort of kit on it. Nothing too high just enough to get the front end up a little bit without looking angled at the sky. any advice? I had been looking at the Turf Country 2' front level it and then putting some bigger tires on there. Glad to be apart of the Ford Truck Enthusiasts. Have always loved these trucks and I'm proud to own one.
we put a 1.5" auto spring leveling kit on my wife's truck and got about 2" of lift out of it. Truck rides great and looks a lot better too. We wanted 2" or less to keep some rake for hauling/towing and since I read that some trucks(mainly FX4's)get more lift than advertised we played it safe.
the truck looks like it's a little nose high in the photo, but it's just the way the driveway slopes. The truck actually sits about level.
That is almost exactly what I would want mine to look like. Mine is a 2WD though so should I go with a 2" instead of a 1.5"? I may have to keep the stock tires on there till I save up enough cash but I'd like to go to a 33' tire when I have the money. These threads have been very helpful with my decision, pics especially.
