I thought I had my leveling kit plans figured out...but when I start looking into doing something, I get all this crazy information. Here's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a 2.5" leveling kit that comes with all the necessities plus replacement leafs. I want to know what kits provide the best quality leaf kits with the best ride quality. I like the names Rubicon Express has for themselves, but their kits do not come with replacement leafs, or at least they don't from what I can tell on their website. If anybody's got some good info please let me know.
heres my .02c
i have an 02 f350 and was looking for a leveling kit for it, i came upon a kit from Ruff Country. it came with complete new leafs, track bar, shocks, and a full set of instructions. it only took bout 3 hours to put the kit in, but i had the use of a lift and a best friend who is a big truck mechanic. i must say that i do like and the ride is not bad at all. with my leveling kit i put in new ball joints so it tightened up my steering a bit. i have also recomended this kit to a few friends and 2 of then have put them in their trucks. they both are happy with the results.
like i said that is just my .02 cents
hope it helps.
If i remember... total was around $300... 2 1/2" Front spacers for the springs, Brackets for the front shocks, adjustible height rear add a leafs 1.5-2.5". The kit keeps the shocks and springs stock. So there was no difference at all w/ ride. Worked perfectly for leveling. No sagging in the rear. I am planning on going to the fox shocks down the road for suspension.
Oh sorry, I didn't read that you had an 07. That kit won't work for me...I have leafs vs coils. Everybody gets in the leveling kit business once you have coils, but when you have leafs your choices are slim. Kinda sucks.

When you day "Ruff" Country, do you mean Rough Country or Tuff Country. You've got a mic in spelling of the two and I can't tell which you mean. If you're referring to Rough Country then that's what I was originally looking at, and am now leaning back towards again. Thanks for the info.
I have the rough country leveling kit on my truck and I cant complain. They did send me a bad leaf though. I didn't realize it until i had it on the truck, fortunately there customer service is very good and they replaced it free of charge.
I also put a 4 inch rough county lift on a 97 f250 and it went very well. There directions are very easy to understand.

Yeah as far as "all around" quality goes they have the best rep from what I've heard so far. I think that's what I'll probably go with now.
when i say ruff i mean rough country, it is a company out of tenn. i did not buy direct from them b/c i found a deal with free shipping so i went with that but both of friends that bought theirs did.

Actually, I think you'll find that the leveling kit from Icon Vehicle Dynamics is of better quality and priced nearly the same as the others, and much better installation documentation as well.
why not just run the x-code leaf springs? they give the same amount of lift as 2 inch level kits plus its cheaper. even though i have a 1 inch tuff country add a leaf in the front im putting x codes on to get another inch over what i have now

This is what I've got on my '03.

Because the Icon keeps your facotry leafs and ride. Everyone from what I hear says that the Rough Country improves the ride quality.
