leveling kit

so im sure something like this has been posted many times before me, but im having trouble finding pictures of what i want. i need to buy new shocks for my 2002 f150, so while im there i want to do a leveling kit and add-a-leaf, but i want to see a truck that has this done. i just want it lifted 2 or 3 inches higher, just so it looks a bit bigger. does ahybody have any pictures or know where i can find good pictures of trucks like this? thanks

ya they do, but i like the look of it when the back is a little higher, i think a lot of vehicles dont look right when the front is level with the back. so if i do a leveling kit and add a leaf then it will raise both front and back a little bit.

but everyone goes off of what they think, not from experience.
my truck has been cranked up for the past 200,000 miles of its life. not a single problem. so argue with that...

think of the torsion bar like a skinny baloon, when its at the factory setting the torsion/baloon is soft = nice soft ride lots of travel, now crank up the torsion bar its like twisting the baloon, now that baloon is much harder =less flex and less of a soft ride, crank it too much and you can snap the torsion bar, im a mechanic and have replace many torsions bars because people crank them way up and start 4x4 and stump jumping, and if you snap a bar odds are youll cause damage to the shock cause thats all that left to hold up that side of the truck, it works for some people and they never have a problem and for some people it cost them a couple bucks to buy a new one and a tow home, get a set of key and a small add a leaf and youll be good to go. do it right the first time and if you get the lift keys rent a torsion bar clamp, i had a friend us a normal C clamp and it broke and cracked his sckull, 13 staples and a nasty scar later he did it correclty

my truck must have keys because its still a nice soft ride and the bolts are sticking out about 1 1/2 - 2 inches.

maybe, but the further you run the key and nut up the more threads that will show, i dont know how far you can run the key up before you bottom out off the top of my head, but like i said some trucks it works some it dont
