Sounds like your trip is going well. Thanks for taking us along! If you happen to run down Old Route 66 into Central IL during your travels let me know. There are a few of us in this area. Bob J. is in Wisconsin not far from Milwaukee if you go to the Harley museum.
Thanks Rob will do still sort of working that part of the trip out but intend to do as much of route 66 as possible caught up with a nice older guy in Waterford who kept us entertained for most of the day picked up a nice bench seat and he threw in a couple of sets of good inner fenders and a couple of boxes of small bits and pieces and then had to shoot over to Monroe in Michigan as the guy Ron I bought the Fulton visor from had his appointments at the Va hospital changed so shot over there and missed the Harley museum but hey there's always next year, spent this afternoon at Niagara falls both sides cool place
well the old girl spent the night on the hoist in a workshop as she started leaking uncontrollable did a rear main seal DANG bloody chev engines (HA) bought the parts thinking I will just jack it up and do the usual repairs from underneath but not the case found a workshop with a hoist and a young guy keen as to help so pulled the trannie put a service kit through that and did the rear main seal and the filter housing sleeve and oil pan gaskets as well finished about 11 last night and added the oils this morning fingers crossed so far so good ended up in Crawfordsville this afternoon having a few beers and yarning to the locals

well its been awhile HA went feral and no internet done the route 66 or what's left of it criss crossing and swapping around but hey it was excellent ended up hunting and drinking and talking crap for three days with some locals from Seligman and listening to the karaoke at the stage coach inn and some other guys that we had been passing here and there wasn't on the plan but had a bloody good time and that's what it was about ended up buying a bottle of rainix for the last few days through Vegas and into California Hmmm have to look into a wiper system, old girls all washed up and sitting pretty parked up in the importers yard, and where sitting in a LA motel for the last couple of days done about 11000 mile just roughly and had an absolute ball here in the US meet some real good people and picked up some nice parts along the way Thanks everyone ,Next year is already in the planning Will start a Build thread for the old girl when she arrives at here new address
