Identify these parts

Sorry, can't figure out how to attach photos yet. I've been a new member for about 6 minutes so far.

1996 F-250 4wd 351 3sp auto (C6?)

1) Changed the trans oil and found a part in the pan. A white plastic piece that looks like a spinning top. Round on the bottom, o-ring at the mid section, 1/4" or so diameter rod on top. Plus a couple of smaller o-ring pieces. First guess is that it should not be laying loose in the bottom of the pan.

2) Changed the oil pan gasket (never again!). Everything seemed to work out OK except for the second mystery part. A 26" long L shaped black 1/2" dia. metal tube, with rubber fitting on one end, the other looks like it fits into a similar vacuum or low pressure air line.

Any clues?

#1 that's what they use at the factory to keep crap out of the trans until it is installed. When the dip stick tube is installed it just gets pushed into the pan.. So that means there is a VERY good chance the pan has never been off before or serviced...

#2 sounds like the plastic tube that goes from the drivers side valve cover over to the air filter box.. Maybe...............

BTW Welcome to FTE...................

#1 looks like a fishing bobber! I agree with White97, that pan has never been off before.
