I have a 79 Ford F150 4x4 with automatic transmission. Ordered the correct replacement carpet (high hump for 4x4) and it appeared to be to big by at least 1-2". Does anyone have the depth or height measurement for a "high hump" center? I am worried that even though a 4x4 I have a low hump center and don't realize it. Have looked pretty hard to find measurements to resolve without luck. Any help is appreciated.
If you have a bolt-on cover over a factory-cut transmission tunnel, it is a high hump. If the floor does not have a factory-cut transmission tunnel, it is a low hump.
If for sure at the 4WD shifter you are measuring 8", I just went out and laid a straight edge across the "hump" right at the 4WD shifter and it measures 6.5" from the floor. It may appear that I have a low hump.
Anyone with a low hump know the measurement about half way between the seat and the firewall?
