Smog tubes delete??? Just installed headers

Smog tubes delete??? Just installed headers
1988 F250 4x4 with 5.0L
I just installed my Hooker longtubes and had to remove the passenger side smog hoses and tube out of the way.
Do I have to reinstall these or can I safely delete these without problems? Will my check engine light come on? Can I just plug the opened ends?
Anyone have pics?
