What was exactly wrong with the 67? And bed patch panels are easy to come by. And a lot of bed liners will kill the rust if you give them a decent base. And if you do any work I would suggest a bedliner.
For mechanical stuff: a "miss" or hesitation on acceleration, transmission underside was completely wet, brake fluid leaking from firewall down onto floorboard. Mechanical issues I can deal with though.
Body stuff: bed inside had heavy rust and holes, floor boards had rust and holes, cab underside crossmember under passenger door was eaten half way through with rust. Paint job was clearly a quick, at-home job (paint on the windows and trim pieces) and opening the driver door around the sill it was very rough as if there was rust or bondo under earn. All a little more than I was prepared for at that price.
That sucks , I hate it when sellers misrepresent what they are selling .
good luck with the 66 , but remember there's a lot of these out there so just be patient the right one will pop up for sale.
