NEED HELP

My front upper shock mount on my 1973 f100 4x4 has a rubber insert that is mount on the spring tower. I do not know what the bushing is called, and there for can not order a new. one side has one, one does not. Again this is not on the shock or goes on the shock. It is around the top bolt, on top of the spring tower.

I can upload a picture if that would help

They are a part of the shock, or should I say, come with a new pair of shocks.

If its the shock bushing you are refering too, those top shock bushings are available from summit racing and most auto stores.

Are you referring to the bump stop? That's the only other rubber piece I see, I'll post an illustration in a few minutes.

Here's the illustration from the Ford parts catalog. Is the part you need basic part number 3020?

Clearly.

Only a genius would use "an" where the rest of the grammatically challenged world would use "a".

And for the record. Timing is retarded. People are not.

Just a heads up, if you want help around here try being a little more specific and polite. There are people on here that pretty much know everything about these old fords so just be patient and I'm sure someone will help you out.
