Rumble and vibration from diff?

True. The front yoke tube, on a one piece driveshaft, slides in and out on the output shaft splines of the 2WD transmission. I just read in my Ford manual where it calls for adding a long life grease to the splines of this slip yoke, also. I have never done this, as usually the fluid in the transmission provides lubrication. I have, however, greased the splines of the slip yoke of my two piece shaft. The noise it made, when dry, did not occur on turns only.

I don't correct Roland often, because his knowledge and experience are vast. The correction is this...I HAVE THE ADVANTAGE of knowing HIM, not the other way around. I'm just another lucky guy with little or no PSD MoJo who can tap into his wisdom and resources. What he gets from me? Well, maybe a joke or two, that's it.
