Did Ford discontinue the medium platinum paint color for the Ranger? I'm looking at maybe buying a newer truck soon but I can't find one in anything other than the basic red, white, blue, or black. 
What happened to all the "interesting" colors they use to offer on the Ranger?

According to Edmunds.com, the medium platinum was changed in 2001 to the silver frost clear coat metallic. I had a 2000 2 door XLT in the medium platinum and it was a good looking truck. I got lots of compliments on it. Traded it for a 02 4 door XLT in dark highland green metallic. IMHO the 02 (3.0 L, 5speedAuto)seems much faster and more responsive than my 2000 with the same engine and 4 speedAuto.

So I guess there isn't a "dark silver", or platinum, offered anymore. Guess I'll have to start looking for the next closest thing which may be that silver frost color you are talking about. Thanks guys.
