Here's a post from the F-150 forum which shows two white trucks side by side. One is the Oxford White and the other is the White Platinum Tri-Coat:

Short of going to the dealer and finding these side by side on his lot, this is the best comparison I've found online so far.

If you want a base color for commercial artwork, just get the Oxford White, which is a neutral low-brightness white.
The tricoat is a neutral white base covered in a partial champagne clear coat and a metallic top coat. The champagne clear coat just gives a warmth and depth to the white, while the metallic top coat gives a sparkle in the sun. In all it lends a golden tint to the white (I'd say gold rather than gray, as suggested above, but it's a hard color to describe.)
The tricoat is a pain to match if you're getting anything painted to match, such as a cap, and is presumably more trouble to match if you have any collision repair. Just the little Ford touch-up stick is twice the price of the others and requires two different coats (and the end result is nothing like the original paint finish).
I have trucks in both colors, and like them both. I probably would just get the Oxford White next time. When the tricoat gets dirty at all, the distinctive tint largely disappears. On a sunny day though, with a clean truck, I get lots of compliments on the tricoat. People definitely like it.
