I picked up my platinum on christmas eve and i wanted to give it some time to get my impressions in order. first of all it is the nicest looking truck i have ever seen. the paint color(dark blue pearl) is sweet with the bright work of the platinum! the fit and finish is top notch. the truck just looks good sitting there! the seats are comfortable, the interior room is massive, though not as big as the toy, but it is plenty big enough! the sony radio is crystal clear, though it lacks the bass my audiophile had.the power is there though i think you have to press the pedal harder to get to it. the leather is soft and it really is a nice color, i was suprised i liked it coming from a black on black truck! the overall feel is it is a very tight truck! the running boards are sweet and the front end is mean!! the tailgate reminds me of the trucks of yesteryear(though i would still like to see ford across the tailgate in writing!) overall im very pleased with the truck, but it is not perfect! my dislikes are and im kind of picky... the ride sucks!! my o5 rode a lot better, floormats are plain(kind of expected platinum or f150 in writing) no telescoping steering wheel, cannot sit the way i want, didnt have a problem in my 05! no overhead storage bin loved it in my05! but complaints are minimal and on a positive note my ford snapless tonneau cover actually fit my new truck! and love the twenty inch tires though their pefomance in the snow leaves a little to be desired(just have to slow down!) but im glad i got it and hopefully its trouble free, now i have to figure out how to get the pictures on the site!
Congrats on the truck. I'm surprised that you don't like the ride. Mine rides very well and is very quit when doing so. It rides better than our range rover sport hse with the air ride suspension, Chevy avalanche, Dodge Durrango and the Denali ever has. Im very impressed by the ride and i guess it's due to the longer leaf springs. I have never been in a generation of f150 that has been so quite, Smooth and car like feel. Even my wife is impressed with how nice it rides and feels. Also what Audiophile system did you have. The System that has come with the 09's is maybe the best system i have heard heard from the factory. We have the harman kardon upgrade in the rangerover that sounds very good but the Sony blows it away.
