I haven't picked any pattern of observations leading up to the CPS failure. Most seem out of the blue - longer cranking could be due to a suspect CPS, or it could be something else completely unrelated to the CPS, e.g. I've read about long cranking being related to glow-plug issues. Do your glow plubs even come on it NQ? !

Simple answer NO, Warmer climate
The wife asked is that it
Told her a magnet is the core of the sensor so I stuck on the pool fence
Just one thing is the sensor I pulled out was a black one
Gave my truck a rev up today ,running like a clock

Yes, also my failed CPS was a black one. Have the Motorcraft one purchased from Clay in there now. Runs like a clock. Got a BW in a box and stowed with the jack - just in case.

With CPS failures, there is no warning unfortunately. Hopefully your new sensor is an updated one that doesn't fail.
