I haven't picked any pattern of observations leading up to the CPS failure. Most seem out of the blue - longer cranking could be due to a suspect CPS, or it could be something else completely unrelated to the CPS, e.g. I've read about long cranking being related to glow-plug issues. Do your glow plubs even come on it NQ?

Yes, also my failed CPS was a black one. Have the Motorcraft one purchased from Clay in there now. Runs like a clock. Got a BW in a box and stowed with the jack - just in case.
