I just placed my order for the test kits. I think it's best I test it myself to ensure it is done correctly considering most dealers don't seem to have a clue these days.
So i have one of the earliest job 1 2011's. It is natural that no one had a clue wbn i had the "check coolant" message less than a year later at 13k miles. I asked what were the readings ' response - we don't have the new test strips we just turned off the message. 6 months later - we still don't have and can't get the new test strips. 6 months later at 24k went in again and the guy tested only the main bottle with the old strip and had no idea about the cool coolant and drain requirement.
2 months ago at 30k they tested with the right strips say they and in both locations. They had the rig overnight. All was well.
This is 3 years after i read the user manual describing the process.
I think the "do it cool" is the attorneys talking. Testing at the drain makes sense as who knows who added what the the reservoir recently could dramatically change results. Poisons also could take a lot longervto build up in the reservoir.
Yup, do it yourself, but bring to dealer to certify it was done ( probably wrong, but in Oasis!).
We are in receipt of your recent order. Please be advised that our part #328-R071-ELC is currently on backorder and we expect to ship on or about 8/23. Your order will ship complete at that time and your credit card will not be charged until then.
Thank you for your business.

What a joke, and they have already charged my card so not sure where she was going with the last part.

Agree and it's easy to do! Then you know for sure it was done right.
With all the confusion related to this. I drained both systems and refilled. I figured i would do it every 60k and call it done. Thoughts?
Your original coolant has a 105,000 mile life and after the initial flush change every 45,000 miles. per the scheduled maintenance guide.
During your first 105,000, You could just add the VC-12 Coolant rejuvenator once or twice to make sure the contamination levels are high enough. Easier than doing an early flush.
