I've been reading about additives to the coolant. Also read you could get a test kit at NAPA. Went to NAPA and they didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. What are the additives? How do I test for what I need and what form is the test --- strips? Thanks in advance

I bought mine at NAPA; "coolant test strips" made by Dana.

They test for nitrite level and glycol %, and ph.

If I got to napaonline.com and look at the blurry little picture for part number FIL4105 it looks like the right thing, but you'd want to check it in person at a store to be sure. But man, that price seems way too high! I think I paid about half that last time I bought some from an online vendor. Correction, I just checked the DIS site and it's about one fourth of that amount:
