Since doing the up grades to my rig (check sig), I've been watching VGT operation(scan gauge ll). I've noticed that on cold mornings, first start, it would read 85. As I drive it change as it should but on every restart it would only read about 66-78 at a stop light. Is this because the turbo is aleady warmed up? Before all the repairs turbo would never hardy whistle at idle. I have been using Archoil since my repair and have noticed a big change in how the truck idles and how turbo responds. Is Archoil cleaning the turbo and injectors? Thx.
The VGT % is a desired reading and not what the solenoid is actually doing
Josh
vgt% is what the pcm is commanding the the vgt to do. that doesnt mean it really happening as there is no direct feed back from the vgt to the pcm to varifiy it.

desired would be the expected value we see in things like egrdc#, icpdsd or msfdsd pids.
vgt is an accuator only there for there is only a commanded value. the pcm doesnt desire to see anything.
now to head this off too, egr has 2 circuts one is the accuator the other is the vref for position.
so in reallity you may have ment that but its not how i read it.
