So the clearance and marker lights on a 65 f series truck, where they installed on the roof in a v or in a straight line? What package (if any) came with them?

Roof mounted clearance lights didn't come in any package, were a factory installed option or a dealer installed accessory.
What marker lamps are you referring to?
These lamps have been available from auto parts stores for over 50 years, so what you've seen...may not be genuine Ford.
Well according to the LMC catalouge (yes, I know the general consensus on them, but I am a novice F-100 guy) the outer cab lights are clearance lights, and the inner 3 of 5 are the marker lights. And I have seen a few trucks from ebay and such that had cab lights mounted, and wondered where they came from. Thank you very much for the help.

If you buy these lights from LMC, they're not going to match the originals, because LMC buys them from autoparts stores.
You will also need the wiring harness and the switch.
The only parts catalog pics I can find are for 1964/69 tractor/trailer wiring system, so only the roof lights would apply. The other pic applies to 1967/72.
One light is shown in the 1965 truck accessory catalog, along with the part number C2TZ-15442-B and the price: $4.95 each.
1966 truck accessory catalog shows all 5 of the lights (they're all lit) on the roof of an F500/750, same part number, same price.
From what I've seen they seem to mimic the curve of the forward edge of the roofline.
It's like they measure straight back using the drip rail as a set point and spacing them equally laterally.
Ok, all kinds of good info and pictures, thanks guys! Once I get the mechanicals sorted on the truck, I can find some neat cab lights for it. And ill know how to mount them now.
