the truck dosent crank ? or just crank and no start? check batteries and cables, grounds, starter?, need to get some gauges on it to look at FICM volts. how old are the batteries?
Welcome to FTE!
To start with, I would try cranking as described in this video. It will give you a good idea if your batteries, starter and solenoid, and cables and connections are working ok. (Second time I've posted this video today ). It may not start but should at least turn over well.
Even if the key is out of the ignition. The radio works as well as everything else.
With the key in, It doesn't turn over. New battery's and cables were installed.
This first happened about 3 months ago but as soon as i took it to shop it started.
So I driven it since then until now
Sorry musdoo, had to crash, I get up early for work. Sound like it's start inhibit for some reason. To verify that check the start relay for ground. If the the PCM thinks something is wrong it lifts the ground to the starter relay (or the relay could be bad). You could also try starting in neutral to rule out the shifter switch. I'm not sure which one it is on an '05 but here's the layout on the '06. I think they are similar. Relay 307 under the dash, also there are a couple of fuses to check labeled starter.
