I'm going on trip in a few weeks and would like to use a portable dvd player that I can mount to the headrests or center console. But I can't seem to find anything to mount on. All of the headrest mounts I can find only attach to an adjusted headrest, but nothing for the highback seats with the molded headrests.
Has anyone ever done this? Or could recommend something I could use?
A quick way is to use Velcro. I went to hardware store and bought a 2' x 3/4" roll. I was able to put two pieces on the DVD player and then wrap the seat with a long piece. Really not as bad as it sounds, holds the player tight and easy to remove. Doesn't damage seat or bother you while sitting in it. You can always try it for this trip and find a permanent fix later.
You'll be money ahead on a small laptop mounted in between the front seats. Or an I pad in the same spot with some downloaded movies. Just a thought! Those seat mounted portable DVD players are junk IMO.
