Since Monday, when I press the accelerator pedal, there is a slight hesitation before the RPMs go up and the truck begins to accelerate. Idling is steady and smooth at 690 RPMs and the truck runs great. I do have the Blue Spring upgrade, only use OEM filters, and change them on schedule. I also add approx. 8oz of Cetane Boost at every fill-up. Any ideas what could be causing this?
UPDATE - Left work yesterday evening and had to make a stop on the way home. Got back in the truck after being in the store for about 15 mins and she would spin but not start up. Popped the hood and took a look but nothing appeared wrong. Just for the sake of doing something, I removed the harness from the EGR Valve. Guess what? She fired right up! I clipped the harness back in and proceeded home. And guess what again.....no acceleration or hesitation issues at all. Unbelievable!!!
I pulled and cleaned the EGR Valve last summer while I was changing the oil cooler. And it was fairly clean. Guess I will do it again this weekend.
Now for another question: could this have been the problem or just a coincidence?
