2006 f250 6.0 140,000 miles.
Truck had bad egr systoms, surging sputtering etc. cleaned valve, very dirty. Ran fine for a month. Got on it on hwy started doing it again. Runs great at idle as soon as I touch accelerator it surges hard and sputters. Changed egr valve still doing it. Starts no problem idles fine even at high idle. As soon as I touch accelerator it does it again. I’m stumped. Thinking something else is dirty???

Howdy,
Welcome aboard!
There might be a couple of things going on and while it might be good to connect a scan guage or similar to read some of the parameters, it will probably tell you everything if you can find someone with a Ford IDS (or equivalent scan system)
These engines are not easy to diagnose without connecting to some sort of scan tool.
If you think its egr related, also try cleaning the ebp tube. I have read that you can clean the ebp sensor aswell but didnt dare personally, as mine was relatively clean. You cant shove anything up there in chance you break the membrane which means a new sensor replacement.
I would advise as others, go spend the $30 total for an elm 327 and torque pro. If your egr system needs cleaning like that(unless your doing 50,000km a month) theres an underlying issue that should be addressed. some readings on temps and pressures goes a long way into understanding wth might be going on there
