obviously this isn't my biggest problem, but when I tried to take my tailgate off I realized that its a PIA.
unless im wrong, we have to un-bolt both hinges and then somehow wiggle it out. not like the new trucks that can slip off one hinge.
not that I really "need" to take it off, but there are sometimes that it would be nice.
Let it down, remove hinge/pivot bolts on one side. Lift the gate by pulling the side arms up until they will align and come off, raise the side that you removed the bolts from and it should come right off.
