How about an FTE contest?

I just came up with this idea after looking at my 78.
Would someone sponsor a contest in this club with some prizes like FREE lifetime membership, FTE stickers, hats, etc?
Here is my idea: A contest for owning the rustiest, yet running and driving Ford truck on the continent?
I am sure it would be too tough of a call to make to have the BEST looking truck out there, as I have seen some GEMS of Ford trucks in the photo gallery... How about the ugliest factory truck which has seen better days? (not talking about converted flat decks, either)
Not bad dents (anyone can go out and do that! LOL) but just wear and tear on a once solid Ford beast?
What do you all think? And no, I am not on the east coast... far from it!
Just using pictures, I am sure something will REALLY stand out!
Just a thought...
Mark

How about an FTE contest?

Hahahah! Good one, Dennis!
Hey, I have a hard enough time keeping my vehicles running to go to work! LOL
I have been hit hard with loss of work the last few months, and would love to get a membership here and all the goodies for displaying the site on my truck... But, it is hard enough to raise a family when things are grim in the income department. I can no longer 'splurge' on anything other than a 'necessity' now.
Oh well. It was worth a try?! I guess this site doesn't generate anything as far as income like some other sites do... Hey, maybe it's time to get Ford themselves to sponsor this site? Then they can't complain about the use of their name anymore! Might not be a bad idea???

How about an FTE contest?

I only meant > Your idea > Maybe you can run the contest.

Ken, is a very generous guy.

Monsta had a FTE contest last year that I won.

He offered a membership & T-Shirt to the person with the oldest
Truck and the Original owner with the most mileage truck that still ran.

I'm still waiting for my prize.
heh heh !

I could run the contest, Dennis, but I couldn't be a judge... Because I would be a contestant... I can defiantely take an active part in it, somehow, though!

How about an FTE contest?

You would win if it was held today.

Mine has 519,000 KM's

The contest was what caused me to build my web site to post my truck video's for proof that it ran.

The proof is in the proof that the truck proved that the proof was proven.

Gee, at least your truck still looks good for its age! I neglected mine for too long; was gonna fix the rust years ago when it was just a few surface spots... I am sure you know the rest!

Is your truck still on original motor? (or did it matter in the contest?)

OH!! I forgot!!!!!!!!!! 6 kids ya know...

I am riddled with guilt!! Oh the pain!

I really gotta figure out how to get you your prize! If you didn't live in the 52nd state it would be so easy!

I'll drop Ken another email and see what he suggests for me to extend your membership by a year and get you T-shirt. XXL

______________

On the contest vien...

The highest mileage was a good one ('cept for gettin' the payoff...)

Anyone can have a rusty truck though... I like the idea of the most ORGINAL, PRISTINE restoration. One that truly embodies a FORD TRUCK ENTHUSIAST!

I would also like to see what would be considered one of the rarest Ford trucks ever made; restored and in original condition. I, of course, have no idea what truck that would be though... but from the looks of it, my Excursion could be that truck one day.

Honesttttttttttttttt !
It wasn't a dig Monsta.

It was just a little note.
That's all.:+

Rarest truck.
1)An original condition INDY 500 truck
2) A 73 Super-Camper special with all the options.
3) A original shape pristine 47-F1

Btw, Unless I'm mistaken,I have something more valuablee than a T-shirt & a membership.
That would be that friendship shown here.
