I have a friend who recently saw at a Ford dealer a Bright Yellow truck with a black dual cowl induction hood, naturally he walked closer, as he got closer he saw a four letter word that made his heart beat faster,BOSS! He said it was a brand new truck he thinks it was an 03' Model (?) but he said it had either a 6.8 or 9 in it and was all slicked up with black leather seats with Boss sewn in Yellow on the headrests. Being a member of this site and another Ford club I have never heard about this truck. He said the price tag was aroun 38k so I know it was real and I don't think it would have been a special order. Has everyone or anyone else seen this truck and if so where can I read more about it?
I don't think the TONKA TRUCK is what he was talking about. There really is a Ford truck out that is a BOSS edition.I think it is some sort of conversion truck. If I remember right, there isn't anything special about the motor, just interior and exterior stuff. I'll look for one to see if I can find it. Wait!! Just found it....go here for a look, only 500 made. It is done by "LA Conversions."
Needs lights and more power!! AWESOME looking truck though.

Maybe a yellow or chrome grill, instead of the black one would look better, what do you think?

Looks great but the engine would need work to be done for sure and I think they could do something with the black, but other then that I will take one.
Because the amount of people who are on the road vs who go off road is the difference. Not as many people use their trucks for trucks anymore.

Minimum 5.4 liter with supercharger (32 valve). Also, if it's gonna be a Boss, it needs the Boss stripe on the front fender from top to bottom, then down the side, in black.

no,the BIG problem is that you cant go off road anymore without trespasing! thanks to the enviro-*****, most of the trails and places once open for 4x4's are now closed. in virginia we had quite a few places to go, here in ohio there is only ONE legal public trail in the whole state! unless you or someone you know has a big plot of land, you dont have anywhere to use your 4x4.
by the way, Jeep has made a new vehicle for '03 that's BUILT! it's basicaly a wrangler that comes built for crawling and hardcore off roading. they call it the Rubicon.
so dont be discouraged mick, some companies still have us 4 wheelers in mind. i just wish Ford would bring back the older bronco in an updated version. removable top and doors(or half doors), v8 power, a stout drivetrain and a short wheelbase. i wonder how many folks would buy those insted of wranglers.
Only Boss that i'm interested in would be a new hi-po Mustang that can burn with the 'vette. Get an engine that makes about 10 mpg and puts you back in the seat. Now that's what i'm talkin' about. Do Larry Shinoda proud. Leave the trucks for torque and work.
