The seller also says it is 3mm thick -- I'm not sure what kind of "9mm hand gun" they have in Indonesia, but I am quite confident that my "9mm" (aka 9mm Parabellum, 9mm Luger, 9x19mm, 9mm NATO) will happily convert that shield into a cheese grater. I'd even bet on my 9x17 (aka .380, 9mm Kurz) going straight thru it at any reasonable range.
Do you think a muzzle loader, shotgun short range or a marksman with several purpose built arrows could get through it?
"Stock suspension height.........run them links almost all the way in."
Do you mean where he has the bolt now in the three holed end (inside toward bar) or on the opposite end at the end of the bar itself?
The threaded sway bar link... the part that mounts from the frame of the truck to the sway bar. Thread the link almost all the way in and you'll be close to level on the bar... assuming the suspension is about stock height.

OK...think I got it....you're referring to the threaded bar with bushings on each end present on either side that attaches from the frame down to the sway bar itself. Thread the one piece into the other as far as it will go. That way when attached to the frame and sway bar and the bar will be level on a stock height X...correct?

Correct, It will be close... still measure or use a torpedo level if the vehicle is already level.
I think I might have to take this to the local shop tomorrow and have them do it. I'm having some problems getting it done (Very worn out and having a hard time) and just don't know if I'm up to it If I run the threads in all the way do I still need to use the nut on it? I assume it's used to lock it in place?

You have to decide that. take your time and go slow... Rome wasn't built in a day.
Run them in far enough to still use the "lock" nuts on the links. Actually they're jam nuts.
What did it end up costing you? I have the patients, and was a Blackhawk crewchief in the Army so wrenching is no problem for me I'm just so tired. I'm only 31 by the way, I'm not an old man I just did way more in the military than I should have and am paying the price now. I'm pretty set on doing it myself, but I'm leaving it up to God to let me know if I need to stop or not. Does the big shield thing come off and get replaced on the passenger side shock mount or does that stay?
