I have found what works best for me is the little 90* bend pick that you can get at Harbor Freight tools. By sticking it under the lip of the handle, you can hook to "noose" end of the clip and pull it out. I have heard that some people have had success by pulling a piece cloth back and forth under the lip until the ends of the clip snag in the material and pulle out. I have never tried it, but I do offer a double your money back garantee. Good luck, Jag
The type referenced above was what I had on my Chev. On my 50 F1, the handles are held on by a pin. I had to pull back the cover (between the handle and the door skin) and push it through with a punch.
I was able to get a 'pick' in and beat the HE!! out of it with a hammer and the pin would not budge... I had to 'twist' the handle until it snapped and grab new(er) ones.... mine were chewed up anyway - so I probably had a safe bet I would have ended up replacing them anyway....
