I'm pretty sure my next big money mod is going to be gauges. Plan on getting dual EGT gauges, fuel pressure gauge, and a boost gauge on a quad pillar mount. For the rest I'm going to get some kind of OBDII device. Any suggestions? The analog gauges are coming from riffraff of course. In between I'm gonna do some cheap mods like a LED light for my glow plugs and make a box for my 6637. Gotta do something to satisfy my PMS until I can get money saved up for the gauges lol

If you get the quad pillar and gauges from riffraff it comes with a GPR LED.

Also, and this is just me, why have 2 gauges for EGT? Why not get one EGT gauge, have a switch to select left and right banks, and fill the other hole with Fuel PSI. To me having Fuel PSI/EGT is a better setup than EGT/EGT. If you threw a switch in line with the gauge you could have the best of both worlds, Dual EGT and Fuel PSI.

Thats what I would do.

Other than that, I dont see any reason for an OBDII device. Most other things dont need constant monitoring, and for just a bit more than a Scangauge, you can get an AE which will give you all of the same monitoring capabilities plus diagnostic testing capabilities.

Boost is on the OBDII, as well as transmission temp, oil temp, backpressure, volts, Mass Fuel Desired (for monitoring MPG live), etc.... I think we can all agree that TT, Boost, and Oil temp are all valid things to monitor... but not everybody wants to stare down 16 glow-in-the-dark circles. One nice feature of OBDII gauges is you don't have to watch the readings... you can just set alarm levels (for those capable of multiple alarms) and let the gauge monitor things for you.

Which is true if getting just an OBDII monitor, but he stated he wants a quad pillar AND something for his OBDII. I think a fuel PSI, EGT, Boost and TT analog gauge is plenty for day to day monitoring via gauges and if he still wants to have expandability via OBD then AE would be my choice.

That's what I've done so far. I keep learning on these rigs and new products come out all the time. I might have done it different if I knew then... but I don't know.

After reading through some threads and doing some research im probably going to go with A/Ox4's suggestion. A quad pillar with egt, fuel pressure, boost, and tt. And go with AE for my OBD readings. Put a switch on the egt so I can look at both banks. I think that will suit my needs. Been reading Tugly's "Chip Chasers" thread and trying to make sure my truck is up to snuff before I throw a chip on it.
