coolant filter mount plate

Does anyone make one that mounts to the fuel filter bracket on the 6.9? I live in an apartment and can't make one myself

Terrapin MFG makes this one but he says he's not cutting anything right now.

I just got done installing a new water pump and radiator and figured it would be a good idea to start filtering the crap out of my cooling system.

I think I may have come up with something. I have the 1st gen Banks kit on my truck with the massive air box. There's a bracket bolted to the intake that supports the air box on the passenger side. Looks like a piece of flat stock or angle with some holes drilled in it might work...

Mine has been here forever. Works well and keeps the hoses out of the way.

Just make sure you leave room for the hood hinge.

if somebody can get me the measurements of that bracket, I can cut a run of them. I have a CNC table.

Did you just drill a hole and bolt it on with a self threading bolt?

I'm finally getting around to doing this using a piece of 1" angle bolted to the fuel filter tower.

Here's the drawing I came up with.

The bolts on the fuel filter were about 3/8", does that sound right? For those of you who have bolted the bracket onto the filter tower, are the stock bolts long enough or will I need longer ones?

Is that just an oil filter relocate kit? The reason I ask is I would like to add a coolant filter to my truck also but the packaged kits are outrageous.

they need to be longer.at least another 1/2" i think, iirc but another whole inch longer can't hurt......well wait a sec lol.just needs to be longer to account for what your adding in there,so i guess another 1/2" would already be more than enough to account for that and get the nuts started easy enough.still,it's wide open so longer still wouldn't hurt.

It's just this coolant filter base:
Wix 24019 & Napa 4019 FilterBase: FleetFilter Secure Online Store

Plus one of these filters, depending on whether you want an SCA charge or not:
Wix Filters - Coolant: FleetFilter Secure Online Store

Nice thing is the filters can be had at NAPA too. Knowing the junk that's in my system, I'm not running an SCA charged filter for at least a year.

Do you remember what size they were?
