oil pressure problem PLEASE HELP

i have a 2000 7.3 and the other day i was driving and it started running terrible so i pulled over and cut it off. got out and checked the oil and the dipstick was bone dry. wouldn't start after that. towed it to my house drained the little bit of oil and replaced the oil filter and added new oil still wont start. checked HPOP and it was bone dry also. tryed filling it with oil and still no start. also i get no movement from oil gauge on dash and do get white smoke from tail pipe. please help

Well the rule of thumb for smoke is:

Black- poorly burning fuel
Blue/grey- oil
White- unburnt fuel or steam

if you HPOP will not stay full your LPOP may have dead or the pickup tube is bad.

If you are getting white smoke, injectors are trying to fire. You might try to unplug the icp and see if it will help it to crank.
