I have tried to search for pic s of ground locations . I have my ground from intake to fire wall, runs , have parking lights,, wipers , no signals , no headlights , dash lightswork with park lights. new radiator support etc ASSUME all new paint has my grounds screwed up. also I'm thinking i may be missing frame grounds ?? any one know of any pics ? got my truck back 95% together, I didnt take it apart. thanks
I installed grounds ranging from #12 wire for the instrument panel to the cab to battery cable size from the battery to frame. Black lawn mower battery cables are a good size and look good for most of the frame grounds.
I made up or replaced/cleaned grounds for a half day. It goes pretty fast if you use self tapping screws and a good drill on the small stuff and use a dremel tool for cleaning.
Battery to frame
Frame to engine
Frame to flat bed
Frame to cab
Frame to Starter
Frame to grill
Frame to radiator support
Frame to inner fenders
Frame to outer fenders
Engine to cab
Instrument panel to cab
Ground for trailer wiring to frame
Ac receiver to cab
Ac compressor to engine
Was considering a ground from distributor to engine but passed on that but it is still a consideration.
Check your insulation on any terminal blocks for deterioration while you are at it.
I drove the truck for a year..... not a single electrical problem then tore the truck apart.... as I put her back together, I clean a ground spot and ground the item preferable to the frame if the item provides a ground for anything.
I think it is well worth the effort and minor expense.

just ad that use the same frame rail as battery neg connection that would be a little better ground and thinking that rust, paint ect is a bad ground
Having good clean grounds is a good thing, an off frame paint job can damage their integrity, our old trucks don't have the electronics that the new ones do, so while adding news in won't hurt anything it may not be necessary.
