I have a 04 6.0 and it just started today when I crank it it spins over for like 5 seconds before it cranks...runs fine just long crank any idea what this could be,,,
It's a keep alive memory code that can pop up when you disconnect your batteries. You might want to check your battery cables to make sure you have a good connection. If you had a stored code it was erased.
As to the long crank. Was the motor hot or cold? Have you cleaned your EGR valve recently? Is it an 03 or 04 motor (ICP sensor on valve cover or under turbo)? Do you use OEM oil filters
Likely a HPO leak. Depending if your ICP sensor is in the passenger valve cover or behind the turbo would determine what the possibilities would be, if it is in the passenger side valve cover it could be standpipes and dummy plugs, or a possible failing HPOP in either case. In this case it would be a good thing to do an air test of the HPO system.
