so i put a 2 inch leveling kit on my truck a 91 f150 4x4, i got the adjustable camber bushings as well. the alignment shop told me today that they could only get the camber to within 1 1/2 degree they are saying the caster is way off and that i need drop radius arm brackets to align it right?
does anyone know if this is right? also can u even get a drop bracket for the stock radius arm or do i need new ones? this project has been a can of worms any help is appreciated!!
They make 3-4 different camber bushings. Maybe you need another range bushing to help. The other thing is that the bushing rotates both ways. So they need to make sure the bushing is being adjusted to the rear. I'm sure these guys know what they are doing, but I've dealt with dumber things.
You should be able to find drop brackets. Go to bronco graveyard or some other lift site.
2" kit is about the max for these trucks. 2" isn't leveling anything stock. That's almost a lift to "level" out some aal or some 3/4 ton springs that were put in the back.
It can be gotten close, but may never be perfect.
thanks guys! im glad to hear i dont need brand new radius arms they are pricey, though i am having trouble finding the drop brackets for the stock arms the 4" drop brackets are the ones im seeing show up alot
and yeah im trying to get it more level as i put new leaf springs in the back about 2 years ago it now sits where it should and inch or two off from the back instead of 4"
