IAT=98.6 all thru -40-250 operating values. your right I don't think it really matters about the temp, so as long as its cleaned up for the PCM and other crap to read it your good to go. why the anti screw on the maf is beyond the emissions garb ,anti tamper like the gassers carb to set air fuel mix, you can leave the maf in place and hit it in the tube, just wont be able to see it very well
