steering components recommendations

Got under the new ford this week and found that several of the bushings are worn out in the steering linkages. I think maybe 3 of the 4 ball joints are shot too. I guess i'll just see what the garage says about ball joints. this thing wanders all over the road. i thought I'd replace all the easy bushings on the steering linkages, then take it to a shop for the ***** joints, alignment, and brake adjustments because I just don't have time to do all that and I need an inspection to get this thing on the road. Anybody have any tips on what to purchase on the steering components to help cut down on truck wandering? I'd like to do those bushings myself to save a few extra bucks anyway.
thanks,

I went with all xrf chassis for the steering parts and ball joints.XRF Steering
Some have used these for their bushings.http://www.autozone.com/autozone/bra...%20Suspension?

Those are some good ones too! I usually replace most of my steering and suspension components with Moog parts as well. I have had really good luck with them, and they last a long time under severe use!

As for taking it to a shop, I know typically the shops will put what parts they order on your vehicle. If I ever take anything to a shop and hand them the parts, I get some song and dance about how the work will not be warranted because its not parts they ordered and put on. I am not sure if the shop you plan to go to will do that, so you will have to find out. I know the big reason they do that, is usually to order from a parts house, inflate the parts price so they get a few more bones. Irritates me! LOL!
